SMR Gearbox Set up
Satisfactory effectiveness depends on correct installation. lubrication and servicing. hence it is important that the instructions from the installation and upkeep leaflet. provided with each gearbox. are followed carefully. several of the crucial elements of belt and torque-arm set up are listed beneath.
one. Install pulley on gearbox input shaft as near towards the reducer achievable, and mount reducer on driven shaft as close to bearing as practical. failure to complete this can lead to extra loads while in the input shaft bearings and output bearings and could cause their premature failure.
2. Install motor and wedge belt drive with the belt pull at somewhere around 90° for the center line amongst driven and input shafts. this will likely allow tensioning on the wedge belt drive together with the torque arm which should preferably be in stress. if output hub runs anti-clockwise. torque arm needs to be positioned the proper.
three. lnstall torque-arm fulcrum on a rigid support in order that the torque-arm will probably be at about proper angles for the center line with the driven shaft as well as the torque arm situation bolt. be sure there may be ample take up from the turnbuckle for belt tension adjustment.
Keep shut.
Bell drive might be positioned in any easy postion. when the torque arm should be to be used to tighten the belts, the drive must be at about tight angle for the line between the input and output shafts.
Bell drive may be positioned to the correct if preferred.
If output hub rotates clock-wise. position belt drive and torque arm in opposite course to that proven during the illustration.
Torque arm and belt get up.
Torque arm may be mounted for the appropriate if sought after.
